3 Viveash Close is an integral part of a wider green infrastructure and community-focused network in the Hayes and Harlington area. As a former industrial site, the proposed scheme aims to breathe new life into the developing area. The scheme focuses on strengthening the green infrastructure network by providing meaningful green amenity space for residents and visitors while connecting with their natural surroundings. Native, evergreen, pollinator and species, tree planting, and ecological interventions were incorporated where appropriate in order to increase the biodiversity value of the site.
The scheme aims to create spaces for members of the community to meet, gather, play, and socialise. The design prioritised playful, inclusive spaces for people of all ages, with a focus on explorative and informal play. The creation of multi-functional spaces with elements that can double as both seating and play elements gives the site a sense of flexibly, while creating a green oasis for residents to escape the urban context.
