Our Practice
At Exterior Architecture, our ability to co-ordinate and innovate allows us to take an active role in ensuring the design process is both rigorous and collaborative across the disciplines and with local communities. It is our strong design ethos that allows us to create inspiring design by distributing our teams skills in the most effective way possible. We see the public realm of any project as an opportunity to bring people together, ensuring that our projects are innovative, aesthetically strong and mutually beneficial to the plants, animals and people that reside in these varied landscapes.
Our practice is based on the principles of being good listeners, great communicators and excellent designers. We operate an ‘open-door’ approach, embracing the opportunity to co-design with, and learn from other sectors. We quickly develop and retain strong communication channels with other consultants, local communities, councils and stakeholders, and strongly believe in the power of an integrated approach, where problems are easier solved together as a wider design team.
For us, work is the new play, and we feel lucky enough to experience this as an ExA family. We love what we do, and are excited about our industry, with our close-knit team fostering a collective conscious to create award-winning, high-quality results. We support one another, ensuring the health and well-being of our staff, whilst adopting progressive initiatives that support our local community, charities and organisations. We are firm believers that those who love their job never work a day in their lives and seek to create a friendly and nurturing environment that allows our staff to excel.
