Modern Surf at Trafford Centre
We are delighted to announce that Modern Surf Manchester has been granted full planning approval by Trafford Council. The scheme will create the North West’s first inland surf lake.
The landscape proposals were led by Exterior Architecture Ltd and as well as the surf lake, include an adventure sports zone with bouldering and skate facilities, a social space and F&B zone and a new public plaza facing onto Barton Dock Road.
We worked alongside Leslie Jones Architecture, Hydrock and Lambert Smith Hampton delving into the detail of the different anticipated visitor groups, their abilities and interests, and how we could make the design work for everybody.
