Using the past as a reference to narrate the future, celebrating the ever-changing, growing, responding and evolving aspects of a landscape.
Rohan Island
Prague
We considered the industrial heritage of Rohan Island when developing the concept for this masterplan, creating a boardwalk network, pillars and gateways as a navigation tool throughout the site.
Flexible platforms of use allow the site to be responsive to environmental and social change, with the river form creating retention areas, floodable terraces, green corridors, habitat patches and orchards across the site. These features allow the landscape to be in a constant state of flux, producing a responsive and evolving scheme that celebrates the wider context of Rohan Island.
