Designed to accentuate the subtle range of colour and textures associated with New Zealand’s unique flora collection.
New Zealand Plant Collection, Savill Garden
Egham
Our winning entry for an international design competition provided us with the opportunity to redesign the largest collection of New Zealand native plants outside of New Zealand, in Savill Garden.
Savill Garden is Britain’s finest ornamental green space, with the plant collection situated adjacent to a new visitor's centre designed by Glen Howells Architects. Working alongside the Crown Estate design team, we developed a conceptual and detailed design, providing detailed planting guidance for the installation of the scheme. Placing emphasis on the collection’s range of colour and textures, species are grouped to form strong blocks of flora and foliage colour, accentuated with striking vertical forms found in New Zealand flora.
